When we take a look at the various explanations of meditation, one thing we often see is that meditation is defined as taking a moment to sit quietly or to ponder.
True meditation, however, is much more than this. It is a state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert. This is just the beginning of an inner transformation that takes us to a higher level of awareness. It enables us to fulfill our true human potential. The problem, of course, is how to achieve this state.
When the word instructs us to meditate upon the word of God,it is simply directing us to take a moment out of our busy schedules and focus our all on God, His word and His will. You cannot read the scripture the same way you would read a newspaper, the word of God is not letters and words, it is life.
Besides bearing all the solutions to everyday problems, healing for all sicknesses, comfort for every pain, the word of God brings success and prosperity to our lives.
“..and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” Psalms 1:2-3
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” Psalms 1:2-3
Joshua 1:8
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”
Many people have been failing to prosper and succeed because they were not taking the necessary steps. Meditating is that required step. When you meditate on the word of God, you flourish, you multiply, you increase. There is a bond that forms between you and God, you fellowship with Him, minister with His spirit and you familiarize yourself with Heaven. I encourage you to always have the zeal to soak yourself in the word. May the fire of fellowship never be quenched, in Jesus mighty name.
