When you've experienced a genuine move of God, man made events in the name of God just don't excite you. Sometimes you can feel like a fish out of water ( amongst family- being the body of Christ ) especially with those who have never experienced a sovereign move. They may have had encounters or touches of God, but experiencing the sovereignty of God breathing upon His people corporately is a whole other thing. When you experience that in your lifetime you are ruined for anything less. No I don't desire for the old wine or the " good old days". But my face is fixed, and like Anna in the temple,contending for the promise, I'll know the genuine when it comes, sorry if I'm not all excited about this and that...no I'm not cynical or negative, you see I just know you can't manufacture a true move of His Spirit. Hype of church doesn't penetrate me because I've been ruined for anything less than His Spirit. It doesn't matter how you promote, how good your sell is, I know the real deal and at the end of the day, the Lord is the best promoter of himself. John the Baptist drew a crowd out into the wilderness to hear what God was saying. Why? Because it was a move of His Spirit upon John. John the Baptist didn't have a worship team or media team or administration team ( and please don't misunderstand me , these are all great to have - I'm a worshiper myself lol ) this emphasis is for illustration purposes; but the only thing John had was a river! And that was all he needed! Folks all we need is the river! If you go down by the river, you will get refreshed, restored, set free, delivered, made whole, put at peace, and brought into your right mind. The church needs to be acquainted with the river and they will never thirst again or ever be satisfied with the plastic manufactured hype that dulls their hunger for truth and reality. For when the Spirit is moving, there is a hunger for truth and there is a desire for repentance which births freedom.
