I kept seeing a vision of an eagle soaring over water this morning with the tips of his wings touching the water ever so gently. He soared with no restrictions and so carefree. I could feel the presence of the Lord come upon me so strongly. The Lord is saying that the season of wings has begun. We will be enabled to go higher into realms of the Spirit. If we are to know God more completely, then we must go higher. (Isaiah 55:9) "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
We are meant to operate like the eagles and soar above the voices of this world. I hear the Lord say, "Let go!" Peter knew what it was like to let go and step out into unfamiliar territory. He saw that Jesus was not controlled by natural realm circumstances and Peter wanted that experience too. When he first got the idea of walking on water, it sounded great. As long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, everything was fine. However the waves started calling out, “Look at us,” and the winds were calling out, “Listen to us,” and poor old Peter got rattled with those two factors competing for his attention. The problem is that when the wind starts blowing, it carries with it other people’s opinions. Sometimes those opinions seem louder than the one you first heard.
The familiar territory may seem safer while the God things are so unknown, but He is calling you to come higher. He wants to take you to ground that is yet untrodden. To go there you must be willing to let go of what you know. When you have got the vision in front of you and His Word in your ears calling your name, let go of what you know in the natural realm, as well as all the voices and opinions, and fly out in the Spirit. Don’t strive to perform or prove that you can fly! God has created you to soar! Don't struggle, just spread those wings and catch the wind currents that is going to thrust you higher in Him! I keep hearing the Lord say over and over, "Let Go! Let Go!" There are some right now that you need to let go. Let God have his way in your life for there is much that awaits you on your spiritual horizon.
