John 7 v 38, “ He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.”It is a well-known fact that one can survive months without food, but not very long without water. As our bodies consist out of approximately 57 to 60% water it is a necessity to be well-hydrated at all times for our organs, cells and tissues to function properly. Water, amongst all species, speaks of LIFE.
A while ago I read an interesting book by Masaru Emoto, a Japanese author, researcher and entrepreneur who claimed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. He believed that water could react to positive thoughts and words, as well as to negative thoughts and words.
In his book, The Hidden Messages of Water, he documented his crystal experiments. He exposed water in different glasses to different words, prayers, pictures and music, and then freezing and examining the aesthetic properties of the resulting crystals with microscopic photography.
There was a marked difference between the crystals with positive words, music etc. spoken and played to them and the ones with negative words, music etc. spoken and played to them. Mr. Emoto’s work was scientifically critized yet I do believe that he was not completely off the mark. Though not a Christian he grasped some truth about Creation.
Just hear what Proverbs 18 v 4 says, “ The WORDS of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skilful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing STREAM [sparkling, fresh,pure and LIFE-GIVING].” (Italics my own to highlight important words and concepts)Beloved, right through God’s Word mention is made of water. It is first mentioned in Genesis 1 v 2, “ The Spirit of God was moving [hovering, brooding ] over the face of the waters.” I find this SO interesting! See a picture of a hen sitting on her nest, brooding over her eggs. You do know what is happening there, right? As she broods over her eggs she is creating and giving them LIFE; just like the Spirit of God gave LIFE to the waters right at the beginning of Creation.
The last mention of water in God’s Word is in Revelation 22 v 17, “ ....And let everyone who is thirsty [who is painfully concious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strenghtened] ; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of LIFE without cost.”
Do you understand the significance of this, Beloved? At the beginning the Spirit of God GAVE Life to the waters; and in the end water IS Life! What joy do I take then in Jesus ‘ statement, “ But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal LIFE.”
The Spirit of God showed me the significance of our words, even unto our bodies. Do you truly realize the spiritual reality and importance of water in your body? You have the LIVING WATER flowing inside of you continually, Beloved! If you grasp this you will know that your words are going to influence the “water” inside your body; either positively or negatively. Your words will either negate or confirm the presence of LIVING Water on the inside of you.
Negative statements like “ I’m exhausted, I can’t go on,” or “ I am so ill, I want to die,” or “ I am old and can’t do this anymore,’ or “ I just can’t handle this any longer, I’m giving up,” will quench the Living Water inside of you! Or your words will affirm the Living Water inside of you as you state, “ I am in complete and perfect health for HE heals all my diseases,” or “ I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strenghtens me,” or “ HE satisfies my mouth [my necessity and desire at my personal age and situation] with good so that my youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring].” ( Psalm 103 v 3 and 5; Phillipians 4 v 13)
Beloved, finally I want to ask you to evaluate the state of your “water” right now. In spending quiet time with PAPA His Spirit showed me that our thoughts, words and actions can pollute the spiritual water inside of us. If you partake of the world and speak hate, fear, bitterness etc. or do things that impact you and others negatively, the water inside of you is muddy, dirty and stagnant; none of which are conductive to LIFE.
Therefore I want to urge you; if your water is muddy, dirty and stagnant; come! Come and drink of the Living Water, He who will refresh you and change your water to sparkling, pure,life-giving water! Don’t hesitate; come now if you are painfully conscious of your need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported and strengthened!
I promise you; if you start drinking from the river which waters give LIFE, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and from the Lamb; you will never thirst again! You will be a partaker of the tree of life which grows on either side of the river; and your leaves will bring healing and restoration to the nations! ( Revelation 22 v 1 and 2)
